What we have been up to

Trent helped the girls dig out a tunnel in our mountain of snow that gets piled up onto the circle from the snowplows. It took them at least 2 hours, but has also provided endless hours of play time. Leah likes to go out and play in it...she pretends she's a mermaid and that is her island. This is a bridge the girls made by themselves. They also have carved out various routes to go down the mountain like slides. Sometimes I wonder how I get anything done. I was helping the older two with homework and Leah and Shea decide that they need to make an extreme slide by placing it on top of the couch. I was happy to see a little forethought on Leah's part by placing a pillow and blanket at the drop off point.
Again, how does anyone get things done around here? There's always a face (and hands) that needs to be washed.
Helping out with our Valentine tradition of making heart shaped sugar cookies. I've decided that making cut out cookies is really not fun for the mom. There's so much work and mess that goes into it that it takes away any pleasure in creating them. It's a shame the kids have so much fun.

Wow!!! I can't believe all that snow. It looks like they all enjoy playing on/in the mountain. Shea really looks like sugar cookies are the best.
