Never a Dull Moment

Abby received the Student of the Month Award under the theme friendship. We're so proud of you Abby!
Here is Leah taking a nap on the couch. She was waiting for me to play a game with her, but ended up falling asleep before I got there. Here's my poor parenting confession of the week: She was up last night about 2 am. I put her back to bed, when I went to get Shea up this morning (at 5:45), Leah's bedroom light was on. I checked on her and she was sound asleep in her bed? How long had her light been on and what was she doing in the middle of the night with her light on?
Another poor parenting moment. Notice the nice bruise Shea has on her nose, that would be from pulling out a cake pan and bonking her nose with it. Does it make up for poor parenting if you take a picturs and blog about it?

So this week has been a bit crazy for my family. I started the week off sick. Cough, fever, chills, I went around the house in my hat and gloves. This has now been passed on to Leah and Shea. Hopefully it will pass quickly. We've also experienced car repairs, soccer practices, activity days, friends over, Trent and I went out on a date, scouts and Shea turning 8 months last Friday. Sometimes I wonder what we did all week, but we usually find plenty to keep us going! Have a great week.

Projects

Trent has become quite the handyman around our house. His latest project has been installing recessed lighting in our family room. Let's just say it's quite the project. I think it has been a lot more work than he thought it was going to be. But the finished product is great.

This is what happens with 4 Girls

This is what happens to you when you have 3 older sisters and they decide to play hair salon.
And this is what happens to you when you have 4 daughters who are begging for some clients at their spa.

Have a fun day!

Snow Day!

Snow days are a new experience for me. Having grown up in Southern California I never had a snow day in my life. It's a new experience to have a phone call early in the morning with the teacher telling you there's no school today. It's fun telling the girls that when they wake up. It's like an unexpected vacation. And yes, they are eating snow cones made from real snow.

The snow plow piled this huge mound into our circle. The girls had fun riding down the hill and onto the street.
Usually Leah doesn't last too long out in the snow. But today she had a great time.

Brynn's Birthday Party

Brynn had her birthday party at home. She invited several friends from her school to come over. They had fun eating pizza, playing games, and just having a party.
Brynn loves her new Webkinz. She named it Snowflake.
Happy Birthday Brynn!
